About The Artist

Jalen Martise Micquiel Williams (b. 2004) is a multidisciplinary artist that explores the concepts of interaction. In Williams’ view, interaction is studied through his work through the concepts of social expression, surrealist experience, and counterculture. Within techniques of printmaking, illustration, and sculpture, Williams pushes to gain self-reflection and introspection throughout his work as an alternative individual. In obtaining a Bachelor's of Fine Arts in Drawing and Printmaking, Williams impels his studies by expanding upon unique identities, stories, and voices of other individuals in his works. In his compositions, Williams prompts viewers to have a sense of reflection and understanding to the individuals around them.
